A member of the board of directors of the MESCA charitable foundation, which supports innovation and education in the field of health care, was honored with the international Swiss Excellence Learning Award for achievements and contributions in the development of innovation and education. The event took place within the framework of “Days of Switzerland” in Tashkent.
Representatives of more than 20 Swiss organizations took part in them on November 23-27, sharing their experience of work in Uzbekistan and conducting master classes. Among them was the MESCA Foundation (Medical Excellence and Science in Central Asia). Starting from 2023, the Foundation has been conducting screening ophthalmologic examinations to detect keratoconus in Uzbekistan. The result is early diagnosis of the disease and provision of treatment recommendations.
“The MESCA Foundation, founded with the support of one of Uzbekistan’s most respected entrepreneurs and investors, Bakhtiyor Fazylov, is now actively working on projects aimed at helping children and improving public health. We are also introducing advanced technologies in the field of healthcare and education,” said Nikki Hafezi, MESCA Foundation Board Member and CEO of NEI.
