The MESCA Foundation’s pilot project, centered on ophthalmology, facilitated support for Prof. Farhad Hafezi of the ELZA Institute to foster relationships and deliver educational presentations to local ophthalmologists in Uzbekistan. Prof. Hafezi was an invited speaker at the annual Uzbek National Ophthalmological Society (IOC) for two consecutive years (2021 & 2022) in Tashkent.
Both presentations highlighted the collaborative initiatives planned by the MESCA Foundation and the ELZA Institute aimed at improving vision health in the region.
