About the Foundation
The MESCA Foundation (Medical Excellence and Science in Central Asia) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization. MESCA is engaged in philanthropic sponsorship of medical and clinical research and other initiatives. These supported projects and initiatives are aimed at developing and improving public health and providing access to healthcare all citizens of the Central Asian regions.
The foundation was established in Switzerland in late 2021 and launched in Uzbekistan in 2022. Mr. Bakhtiyor Fazilov is the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Activities
The MESCA Foundation promotes scientific research, the sharing of knowledge and practical training, and providing access to modern technology and clinical medicine, especially among vulnerable population groups, to improve the overall healthcare for citizens of Central Asia.
The foundation has engaged in “philanthropic impact investments” to support a long-term social project to improve vision and eye care in Uzbekistan. Specifically, the foundation enables the development of medical infrastructure, access to modern technology, and recruitment and training of medical experts to provide high quality health services.

Mr. Bakhtiyor Fazilov
Bakhtiyor Fazilov is an Uzbek businessman, investor and philanthropist.
He owns and manages a vast portfolio of companies in the energy, construction, agriculture, aviation, and hospitality industries. The two leading companies in Mr. Fazilov’s business portfolio are Eriell, a leading international oil and gas services group, and Enter Engineering, a global industrial construction company.
Bakhtiyor Fazilov is involved in an extensive philanthropic activity in the areas of healthcare, education and sports, aimed at helping the younger generation and the vulnerable people of Uzbekistan.

Mrs. Nikki Leilah Hafezi
Nikki Hafezi-Kristoffersen is a Swiss/American businesswoman and philanthropist.
For the past 20 years, Mrs. Hafezi has been a healthcare management consultant specializing in strategy, business development, intellectual property, fundraising and international regulatory affairs, with a focus in ophthalmology and vision science.
Ms. Hafezi has been voted on the Ophthalmologists’ peer-selected global Top 40 Under 40 List for the most influential personalities in ophthalmologists. She has built and led international medical device businesses, ophthalmic hospitals, and clinics in over 70 countries.
Ms. Hafezi has a master’s degree in law (intellectual property) from the ETH-Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), specialization in biostatistics (University of Bern, Switzerland), and will be completing her PhD from the faculty of medicine and health sciences from the University of Antwerp, Belgium.

Mrs. Rano Adilova
Rano Adilova is a seasoned executive and has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Since 2015 she is the founder and director of the leading medical diagnostic center in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Mrs. Adilova is a general advisor the newly formed “Tashkent International Medical Center” LLC in the capital. This general hospital will be a leading private medical institution dedicated to bringing modern medicine to the country.
Mrs. Adilova has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages (University) and will complete her MBA at City Business School in Moscow, Russia.
